The Molasses Flood is an independent game studio comprised of former AAA developers hailing from such beloved franchises as Halo, BioShock, and Rock Band.
The Molasses Flood was founded in the wake of the closure of Irrational Games, in which the team found themselves without jobs. The lack of game studios in the Boston area combined with the high profile of the team's previous experience meant the time was right to strike out on their own and create a new studio.
The studio's first title is The Flame in the Flood, a rogue-lite river journey through the backwaters of a forgotten post-societal America. The player must forage, craft, and evade predators to succeed in their journey.
